Thrive, in partnership with Direct Fresh and Space Dawg, hosted a tea party at Soi 71 in Dhaka recently, gathering long-time supporters, diplomats, and community leaders to champion sustainable school meals for children in Bangladesh.

Thrive Bangladesh board members Amna Rahman and Kanwal Bhagat led the event, emphasizing the life-changing impact of nutrition on education, said a press release.

Rubina Karim, Gulshan Literacy Program School Board member, praised Thrive’s efforts, noting a 100% pass rate since 2012.

Mishal Karim, chair of Direct Fresh and Space Dawg, pledged a generous gift of Tk 10 lakh, calling support for Thrive a shared duty.

Thrive Executive Director Priscilla Heffelfinger thanked attendees for their generosity, saying, “You are feeding their futures.” Though Thrive board members Gina Gabel, Sadia Moyeen, and Arsalan Ali were absent, they were present in spirit. Currently, Thrive provides over 12,000 meals weekly in Bangladesh and the Philippines, with goals to reach even more children.
