Job Description

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing comprehensive support to help the Executive Director and team stay organized and complete organizational tasks, furthering our mission of feeding more schoolchildren daily meals.

Key responsibilities:

  • Communication management: Answering calls, responding to emails and social media asks, and directing inquiries to appropriate parties.
  • Document preparation: Drafting letters, memos, reports, presentations, and other correspondence.
  • File management: Organizing files and folders, including but not limited to Thrive Governance, Legal& Compliance, Contracts, Forms, and Memorandums of Understanding Documentation.
  • Contracts: Maintaining contracts, and following up with renewals for team and vendors.
  • Meeting coordination: Setting up meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and distributing follow-up information.
  • Calendar management: Scheduling appointments meetings, and coordinating with attendees. Maintain master school calendar.
  • Travel arrangements: Booking travel tickets, accommodations, and transportation for team, board, and supporters (domestic and international).
  • Office administration: Ordering supplies, managing office equipment, and maintaining inventory.
  • Data entry: Entering information into spreadsheets and databases.
  • Recruitment: Coordinating job postings, candidate initial screenings, and contract signing.
  • Onboarding: Preparing onboarding and work-related materials and needs team, board, and volunteers
  • Event support: Providing ongoing assistance to ensure events run smoothly.

Board Fundraising & Marketing Role

We seek Board Fundraising & Marketing Experts to guide Thrive’s Strategic Plan to quadruple the number of schoolchildren in Southeast Asia who receive our daily school meals to 10,000 by 2028.

Job Description

The fundraising and marketing board members actively solicit donations and support fundraising efforts for Thrive by leveraging their network, offering action-driven funding ideas, engaging in campaigns and events, and participating in fundraising strategy to ensure the board meets its fundraising goals.

Key responsibilities:

  • Offer board actionable guidance for fundraising success.
  • Partner with staff to meet annual fundraising goals Help identify and cultivate potential donors
  • Own their responsibility to act as Thrive ambassadors.
  • Make a personal gift Solicit donations from their extended network
  • Engage in donor appreciation Attend and support Thrive events and campaigns
  •  Serve on the Fundraising & Marketing Committee and attend quarterly Board meetings. *if possible

Experience & Cultural Fit:

  • An eagerness to roll up your sleeves and jump in to gain support and awareness for Thrive.
  • Dynamic, results-orient, creative, strategic thinker.
  • A track record in effective networking to effectively identify potential donors
  • A resonance for Thrive’s mission of feeding hungry schoolchildren daily healthy meals.
  • Nonprofit board or staff role experience is a plus.
  • Campaign, event, or marketing experience is a plus.
  • Typically, 4-6 hours per month (includes virtual quarterly board and monthly fundraising & marketing committee meetings.
  • Serve three years as a Board Member You can apply from any location. All of our meetings are virtual and our board is international.
