Thrive, a global advocate for education and nutrition, proudly partnered with Levi Strauss & Co. to bring a day of support and inspiration to the students of Gulshan Literacy Program (GLP), in Badda. Local Levi Strauss & Co. employees spent the day engaging with students through interactive learning sessions, creative activities, and shared healthy meals, reinforcing the company’s commitment to its community and its dedication to empowering the next generation.

Thrive’s partnership with Levi Strauss & Co. has also been instrumental in sustaining daily meals for students in GLP Badda and other schools that Thrive serves. These meals have proved to be life-changing, with attendance rates at Thrive schools consistently exceeding national averages. This remarkable achievement underscores the impact of nutrition on education and the importance of collaborative efforts to support marginalized children.
The Gulshan Literacy Program, established in 1985, serves as a beacon of hope for disadvantaged children in Dhaka. With a focus on high-quality education and English language skills, GLP schools have maintained a 100% pass rate since 2011, with 85% of eighth-grade students achieving the highest marks in public board examinations. Levi Strauss & Co.’s involvement further strengthens this mission, creating opportunities for students to learn, grow, and dream big.

Thrive’s mission is to deliver healthy food to hungry children in the world’s poorest areas. Founded in 2012, Thrive partners with schools to provide more than 12,000 meals every week to schoolchildren in Bangladesh and the Philippines. Each meal provides up to 50% of a child’s daily nutritional needs, with vegetables, protein, and seasonal fruits—including Thrive’s signature banana.
