Report to the Head of Growth

Job Description
As our Outreach & Engagement Manager, you are the voice of our work, using the power of storytelling to engage our community and build it through meaningful connections and relationships, which drive awareness of and lasting support for Thrive.

Core Responsibilities
Strategic Storytelling: Translate our mission into compelling narratives across socials and beyond. You won’t just “post”; you will craft “hooks” and captions that resonate emotionally with our audience.
Community Engagement: Actively monitor channels to respond to comments and messages with enthusiasm and an action-forward mindset
Proactive Outreach: Identify and foster relationships with media, influencers, and current and potential stakeholders to amplify our reach.
High-Touch Outreach: Connect with current and potential supporters in creative, meaningful ways to deepen relationships and encourage growth in support.
Growth Tracking: Use analytics tools to monitor performance and provide monthly insights and recommendations for optimization.
Purposeful Planning: Maintain organized content calendars and assist with email marketing or blog updates as needed.

Key Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 1–2 years in social media management or community outreach, preferably within a nonprofit or mission-led environment.
Technical Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of Instagram and TikTok algorithms and professional-level skill in Canva.
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a “natural” instinct for storytelling behind and in front of the screen.
Soft Skills: Highly organized, self-motivated, and passion-forward. You should thrive in an independent, virtual work environment.

What We Offer

  • Flexibility: Work from anywhere with a schedule that is outcome-focused rather than hours-clocked.
  • Purpose: The opportunity to do work that directly impacts the lives of children.
  • Growth: Join a collaborative global team that values continuous improvement and professional development.
