Grant Writer
Part-time | Virtual | Flexible
Report to Executive Director
Job Description: You will be responsible for searching and securing available funding opportunities by writing grant proposals.
Key Responsibilities:

  1. Create and maintain a grants calendar to monitor progress
  2. Identify new funding opportunities
  3. Research, prepare, and submit proposals for funding
  4. Write funder reports
  5. Communicate with potential donors and institutional donors
  6. Prepare sponsorship packages
  7. Review budget proposals with the CFO or other team leaders
  8. Offer ideas (tools & systems) for simplifying and streamlining the research & writing process
  9. Share monthly updates on progress, highlights, and challenges with recommendations.
  10. Offer your ideas and insights for doing more, better!
Experience & Fit:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Excellent consulting, writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Exceptional research skills.
  • Success in nonprofit grant writing and with international funders is a plus.
  • You are highly self-motivated, results-focused, organized, and detail-driven.
  • You have a can-do, get-it-done positive mindset and team ethos — you are inventive, have an eye for detail, and relish a fast-paced and roll-up-your-sleeves culture.

Accounting & Bookkeeping

Report to Executive Director
Job Description: You will oversee all aspects of accounting and finance.
Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the leadership team and board to design and implement financial growth strategies, plans, and procedures against the Strategic Plan.
  2. Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting.
    1. Accounts Payable
    2. Accounts Receivable
    3. Payroll
    4. Bank Reconciliation
    5. General Ledger Maintenance
    6. Financial Reporting (monthly, quarterly, and annual)
  3. Works collaboratively to develop and/or improve financial systems, processes, and procedures that enhance overall efficiency, increase transparency, reduce costs, and ultimately feed more children.
  4. Provide insight and advice for improving financial conditions and status toward strategic goals.
Experience :

  • A minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting, CPA or CMA is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of accounting and bookkeeping experience.
  • International financial expertise is a plus.
  • Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professional credentials are a plus.
